Due to constructions the library is now divided in 2 separate libraries. One entrance (at the reading-room Thorbecke) gives you access to our book-collection and legislation-room, the other entrance (at the reading-room Fredericq) gives you access to our journal-collection.

3. Library access policies
Everyone has free access to the library
4. Library Rules and regulations
- Eating, drinking and smoking are not allowed in the Law Library.
- Please keep noise to a minimum in all reading rooms except reading room Kluyskens, in which it is allowed to discuss legal papers. The library also has 2 separate rooms to allow students to work in group on legal papers, you can find those rooms above the office of the librarians.
- Reading Room materials should be correctly reshelved when you are finished with them.
- Coats and bags must be left in the locker rooms adjoining the entrance halls. They may not be brought further into the Library. Lockers are available in which you can keep your personal belongings. To open the lockers, you will need a 0,50 EUR coin, which is automatically returned to you when you empty the locker. Please note that all lockers should be emptied each evening. Starting this year there are also lockers operating with a combination lock.
Warning against theft
You are warned not to leave money or valuables in the Library unattended. Money should not be left in coat pockets in the locker room.
