Erwoan Lannon

Erwoan Lannon studied Law at the University of Rennes I (PhD) as well as International Relations and Strategic Relations at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (LLM).

He has been a consultant to the United Nations (UNCTAD/UNDP), worked at the Delegation of the European Commission to the State of Israel and with the EU Institute for Security Studies (EU ISS).

Erwoan Lannon has given many lectures and conferences (e.g. Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL), Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Yeditepe University, Galatassaray University, Rennes University, Paris, Mohamed V University-Rabat, Tunis University etc.). He is also a member of a number of research networks and academic boards. He is currently Professor at the University of Ghent where he teaches EU institutional and constitutional law as well as the external relations of the EU and the European Neighbourhood Policy. At the College of Europe, he is a part-time professor in the “EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies” programme in Bruges and a guest professor in Natolin University (Warsaw). He notably edited: «The European Neighbourhood Policy's Challenges», College of Europe Studies, Vol. 14, Bruxelles, New York, Oxford, Wien, 2012. He also co-edited, with M. Maresceau, “The EU’s Enlargement and Mediterranean Strategies: a comparative analysis”, Palgrave-Macmillan Press, Basingstoke New-York, 2001 and with J. Lebullenger, “Les défis d’une adhésion de la Turquie à l’Union européenne”, Bruylant, Brussels, 2006.
