Expertise: environmental law, right to health and nature conservation

Jing Zhang obtained her Master Degree in Law at Wuhan University in 2013 as an outstanding graduate.

In 2011, she joined the Research Institute of Environmental Law at Wuhan University and studied environmental law. Her Master’s thesis discussed “The Coordination between the Property Right and Environmental Regulatory Taking”.

Since October 2014, she has started her PhD research in Public International Law, under the supervision of Prof. dr. An Cliquet. Her research focuses on the right to health and nature conservation.

She previously worked as an intern in a local environmental NGO  in 2011 and interned for WCS in 2013. Now she is a long-term volunteer of thlocal environmental NGOs, including a NGO for the protection of the rivers in her hometown.
