Lei Guo graduated from Law School, Wuhan University, China (Bachelor of Law 2007, Master of Environmental Law 2010 as outstanding graduate). Since October 2010, she is working on her PhD degree at the Department of Public International Law under the supervision of prof. Frank Maes, on the topic of “The Use of Biofuels According to International Law: A Comparison between EU and Chinese Implementation”.

Her research focuses on the main legal issues regarding biofuels from the perspective of relevant international law and also proposed a comparative study of implementation of biofuels regulations in the EU and China. She has presented papers on this topic in international conferences in the United States, Belgium, China, Spain, and the Netherlands.
